Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven General Manager to lead and oversee the business operations of a world class Ethanol production facility in Texas. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in P&L budgeting and forecasting, team leadership, operations expertise and strategic planning within the Ethanol industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic initiatives to increase plant efficiency, reduce costs, and expand market share.
  • Interfacing with Corporate: You will be the link between Corporate and the Plant. Analytical business savvy is a must.
  • Team Management: Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team; foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Financial Oversight: Prepare and manage budgets, control expenses, and deliver financial performance targets.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure all operations meet environmental, health, and safety regulations as well as federal and state compliance requirements.
  • Stakeholder Relations: Maintain strong relationships with internal teams, external partners, suppliers, regulatory bodies, and the local community.
  • Performance Monitoring: Use KPIs and data analytics to assess plant performance, troubleshoot issues, and drive improvements.
  • Project Management: Lead capital improvement projects and coordinate with engineering teams on equipment upgrades and new installations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8–10 years of progressive leadership experience in ethanol or biofuel industry
  • Proven experience in managing P&L and operational budgets.
  • Strong understanding of ethanol production technologies, plant operations, and regulatory requirements (EPA, OSHA, TCEQ).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of CO2, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other operational excellence methodologies is a plus.
  • Engineering knowledge and experience is preferred.
