Heavy Civil Estimator & Jr. Estimator – Jacksonville, FL

Compensation:

• Heavy Civil Estimator: $120K - $150K
• Jr. Estimator: $70K - $100K

A well-established Civil Construction Company in Jacksonville, FL, is seeking experienced Heavy Civil Estimators and Jr. Estimators with DOT project experience to join our team.

Company Services:

We specialize in a wide range of construction services, including:
✔ Site Development & Earthwork: Box culverts, clearing & grubbing, excavation, grading, erosion control.
✔ Utility Installation: Force mains, lift stations, storm drainage, water line, and reuse water installation.
✔ Roadway & Concrete Work: Road construction, base installation, curb & gutter, concrete paving, sidewalks, DOT roadway concrete, and traffic separators.

Estimator Responsibilities:

🔹 Analyze project plans, specifications, and requirements to prepare accurate cost estimates.
🔹 Develop detailed takeoffs, pricing, and budgets for civil infrastructure projects.
🔹 Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure project alignment.
🔹 Identify and evaluate subcontractor bids and vendor pricing.
🔹 Prepare bid proposals and participate in contract negotiations.

Requirements:

✅ For Heavy Civil Estimator: 5+ years of experience in civil construction estimating, preferably on DOT projects.
✅ For Jr. Estimator: 1-3 years of experience in estimating or related field.
✅ Strong knowledge of earthwork, utilities, storm drainage, and road construction.
✅ Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
✅ Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple bids simultaneously.
✅ Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
