Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, (or related field) or equivalent combination of technical training and related experience. OR master’s degree and 3 years of estimating experience.
  • 5+ years’ estimating experience in construction.
  • 2+ years’ experience in estimating grading and or paving for public work and/or underground utilities (storm, sewer, water).
  • Experience with Microsoft Office; Takeoff software: Agtek, Bluebeam, Estimating software; HCSS HeavyBid or Sharpe; Project management software; HeavyJob preferred.
  • Experience with supervision and managing client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Supports and oversees estimating goals and objectives. Shares knowledge and best practice used in the industry. Ensures direction and focus on long range priorities, customer satisfaction and makes daily strides in the day-to-day processes and procedures. Provide estimating capabilities and experience to the entire estimating and project pursuit department in bid preparation.
  • Provide business development skillsets to the Northern California region establishing and maintaining client relationships in securing projects to bid.
  • Assists with achieving a zero injury workplace by support and participating of companies training programs.
