Estimator

Our client seeks an experienced Estimator to collaborate with exhibit designers and sales staff, preparing timely and accurate estimates for projects and incremental pricing estimates for changes throughout the project cycle.

Our client specializes in Exhibit Design & Construction, Rental Exhibits, Branded Environments, Installation & Dismantling, Exhibit Storage & Management, and Full Tradeshow Services.

Responsibilities:

• Estimate and quote tradeshow projects.
• Participate in client build meetings with Project Managers, Account Executives, and Service Technicians.
• Coordinate material ordering for exhibit builds.
• Attain budgets, timelines, and client expectations from Designers and Account Executives/Directors.
• Execute tasks related to estimating, billing, and ordering of rental and custom third-party vendor items.
• Create written proposals and invoices for custom and rental exhibits.
• Partner with approved vendors for material sourcing and pricing.
• Maintain a daily log of estimate requests and revisions.
• Estimate in-house graphic production costs.
• Communicate and negotiate with supply vendors.
• Evaluate department initiatives and recommend improvements.
• Communicate with Project Manager to ensure understanding of client expectations and costing assumptions.
• Partner with the Accounting department for cost reconciliation.
• Provide leadership and implement ideas to improve lead time and accuracy.

Required Experience:

• 3+ years of Estimating experience in a construction/fabrication related business (Exhibit industry experience helpful but not required).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel.
• Ability to work within firm deadlines and manage schedules.
• Ability to interpret sketches, blueprints, and construction drawings.
• Comfortable working in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
• Proactive with a sense of urgency.
• Excellent communication, organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
