We've partnered with a Mom-and-Pop-shop turned $100M steel erector company looking to hire two experienced estimators: one around Dayton, OH and another out of Toledo, OH capable of covering the company's Detroit market, as well.
What You'll Do
- Review construction bid documents
- Calculate the values of administration, procurement, materials, equipment, and material installation
- Evaluate bid specifications and drawings
- Follow up with general contractors to ensure bids are inclusive
- Lead, direct, and coordinate daily project management
- Set up job reports for cost analysis and help facilitate job completion
- Manage and resolve conflicts with customers
- Create clear and attainable project objectives, build project requirements, and manage project management constraints (cost, time, scope, quality, etc.)
What You'll Need
- Project management degree, estimating training, and/or 10+ years in the construction industry is required
- 2+ years of experience working for a steel erector
- Acute attention to detail and extensive knowledge in the steel construction trade
- Vast field knowledge with the ability to extract important information required for reporting cost progress and quality standards
- Training or experience in purchasing
- Strong computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and Project Management software
