Position Overview: The Estimator I is responsible for accurately estimating projects by analyzing proposals, plans, specifications, and related documents.
Primary Responsibilities:

Understand project requirements to develop precise estimates

Prepare comprehensive construction estimates based on plans and specifications

Communicate with subcontractors and vendors for bid preparation

Conduct site visits to gather essential project details
-
Ensure timely completion of estimates
-
Identify and resolve discrepancies in plans and specifications
-
Generate detailed estimates for review
-
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
-
Proven experience as a construction estimator
-
Strong knowledge of accounting and project management concepts
-
Proficiency in research, data analysis, and estimation metrics
-
Comfortable working with numbers and technology
-
Expertise in bid software
-
Attention to detail and accuracy
-
Strong communication and negotiation skills
-
Excellent organizational abilities
Education and Experience:
-
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Pro
-
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in construction estimating
-
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
-
Ability to read engineering plans and specifications to develop estimates
-
Strong understanding of public works construction
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-
Fluency in English
-
Strong customer service skills
-
Ability to multitask and meet strict deadlines
