Position Overview: The Estimator I is responsible for accurately estimating projects by analyzing proposals, plans, specifications, and related documents.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Understand project requirements to develop precise estimates

• Prepare comprehensive construction estimates based on plans and specifications

• Communicate with subcontractors and vendors for bid preparation

• Conduct site visits to gather essential project details

• Ensure timely completion of estimates

• Identify and resolve discrepancies in plans and specifications

• Generate detailed estimates for review

• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a construction estimator

• Strong knowledge of accounting and project management concepts

• Proficiency in research, data analysis, and estimation metrics

• Comfortable working with numbers and technology

• Expertise in bid software

• Attention to detail and accuracy

• Strong communication and negotiation skills

• Excellent organizational abilities

Education and Experience:

• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Pro

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in construction estimating

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience

• Ability to read engineering plans and specifications to develop estimates

• Strong understanding of public works construction

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Fluency in English

• Strong customer service skills

• Ability to multitask and meet strict deadlines
