Compiles, processes and presents a quote for the sales department and their customer.


  • Review RFQ packages to determine if data is sufficient to execute quote.
  • Coordinate with Sales and Customer to gather any additional data required.
  • Maintain quote log and / or CRM system with all applicable information and dates.
  • Initiate and coordinate cross functional quote kickoff meetings.
  • Coordinate with supply chain management on materials costing strategy and development.
  • Coordinate with operations / engineering on manufacturing costing strategy and development.
  • Consolidate all applicable inputs into the appropriate quote templates.
  • Prepare quote to quote variance analysis as required.
  • Prepare final costing analysis for review with management team.
  • Coordinate quote review meetings.
  • Finalize pricing proposal and issue to sales, business management or customer as required.
  • Track all open quotes for win / loss analysis.


  • Ability to prioritize and to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet, professional manner
  • Eye for detail, accuracy is imperative

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to be an effective team member and display initiative
  • Proficient with MS Word and Excel, ERP experience desired
  • Experience with varied industries such as medical device, pharmaceutical, aerospace, robotics, and food grade equipment is desirable.


  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree / Journeyman machinist certificate or a combination of education and experience
  • Proficient in the following functions:
  • Microsoft Office software for spreadsheet and document generation
  • ERP system knowledge and experience
  • Knowledge / experience with current industry techniques and ability to stay current on new items
  • Good communication skills with professional demeanor/attitude
  • Good meeting management discipline
  • Understanding of, and experience with, manufacturing processes and techniques
  • Experience with varied industries such as medical device, pharmaceutical, aerospace, robotics, and food grade equipment is desirable.
