Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join their growing team. In this role, you'll be the cornerstone of their project pricing strategy, translating complex specifications into accurate cost estimates that win bids and ensure profitability. As an Estimator, you'll leverage your analytical mindset and construction knowledge to identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards. Job Duties

  • Analyze construction documents and conduct site visits to develop comprehensive understanding of project scope
  • Quantify materials, labor, and equipment needs using industry-standard estimating software
  • Solicit, review, and negotiate competitive pricing with suppliers and subcontractors
  • Develop detailed cost breakdowns including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead
  • Collaborate with project teams to align estimates with budgets and identify value engineering opportunities
  • Prepare compelling bid packages and participate in client presentations and negotiations
  • Monitor market trends and maintain historical data to enhance estimating accuracy
  • Contribute to budget adjustments throughout project lifecycle

Qualifications

  • Degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent construction experience
  • 3+ years estimating experience in general contracting
  • Proficiency in construction estimating software (On Screen Takeoff preferred) and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings
  • Familiarity with field practices, scheduling, building codes, and safety guidelines
  • OSHA 10 certification strongly preferred (required within first 12 months)
  • Professional certifications a plus (e.g., Certified Professional Estimator)
