Estate Litigation Associate

Location: Ottawa, Ontario
Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $100,000 – $120,000 (commensurate with experience)

A well-established and highly respected Ottawa law firm is seeking an experienced Estate Litigation Associate to join its growing Litigation team. Key Responsibilities

• Manage estate litigation files from intake through resolution

• Represent clients in estate disputes and related civil litigation matters

• Appear before courts and tribunals as required

• Draft pleadings, motion materials, factums, and other litigation documents

• Conduct discoveries, mediations, and settlement negotiations

• Provide strategic advice to clients on estate and civil litigation matters

• Contribute to business development initiatives and client relationship management

• Collaborate with colleagues across practice areas when required

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience practicing in a law firm

• Minimum 3 years’ focused experience in estate litigation

• Licensed member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario

• Experience practicing law in Ontario

• Strong technical litigation skills

• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills

• Superior analytical and organizational abilities

• High degree of professional ethics and integrity

• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment

• Demonstrated interest or involvement in business development
