Escrow Officer
Job Description
Our client is seeking an Escrow Officer with genuine care and concern for the well-being of clients who will help advance their continued growth and help continue to position their company as a leader in the title industry.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Review purchase contracts to ensure compliance with all terms
- Prepare required closing documents, including settlement statements, and coordinate edits and revisions as necessary with the clients and parties to the transaction
- Obtain payoffs, payoff authorizations, wire instruction verifications, or other documents as necessary to help the client meet title requirements and remove title exceptions
- Demonstrate excellent customer service not only with clients, but also with other parties to the transaction and third-party vendors
- Act as the main point of contact for communication between the client and the title department, as well as between the client and outside title partners
- Review the commitment and verify Schedule B requirements have been met for closing
- Upon closing, disburse funds in accordance with all written instructions from the parties to the transaction
- Send required documentation for updates and recording as instructed
- Special projects, including but not limited to, out of balance files, outstanding check reports, outstanding invoice payments, remittance follow-through, dormant escrow account management and file clean up
- MUST be actively licensed in the state of California
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Ability to effectively resolve customer service issues
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects/files and responsibilities
- Attention to detail and focus on accuracy of information obtained and/or provided
- Business acumen - ability to help build and retain business
- A high school diploma is required. Bachelor’s degree highly preferred.
- Previous experience in residential escrow processing or as an escrow officer required.
- Customer service and writing experience required
