ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGER

Qualifications:
- Degree in environmental engineering or related technical field preferred; master’s degree a plus
- 4-6 years’ experience of closely related work experience with a focus on air issues (NSR, PSD, NSPS, Title V, PC MACT), solid waste management (RCRA) and CERCLA and Clean Water Act matters
- Experience in multi-media audits
- Working knowledge of Environmental Management Systems
- Computer literacy in Microsoft applications very desirable
- Knowledge of Texas’ state environmental rules and regulations very desirable
Major Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership in administering safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures
- Provide leadership and technical expertise on all environmental issues related to the manufacturing plant
- Manage all environmental issues, including permitting, pollution prevention, environmental regulatory compliance, training, inspections, reporting, auditing, and contractor compliance
- Interact with the public, environmental groups, consultants, regulatory officials and company management
- Function as an integral member of the leadership team to create a high performance culture
- Develop and manage relationships with environmental regulatory agencies
- Compile statistics, prepare reports and maintain appropriate compliance records
- Perform statistical analysis, prepare reports, maintain appropriate compliance records, and file required documents with various regulatory agencies
- Provide training to plant personnel on key environmental issues
- Assist on plant-specific or company-specific environmental issues as needed
- Lead initiative on alternative fuels and raw materials (AFR)
