Tucson Environmental Attorney

Our client, an electric utility located in Southern Arizona, is looking to bring an experienced environmental attorney on board to apply expertise with federal EPA and state laws and regulations governing electric utilities. The successful candidate will be a vital advisor to all levels of company management and internal client groups on crucial matters, especially navigating through new air emissions standards.

What you’ll do: 

  • Provide company legal advice and counsel on state and federal environmental matters
  • Monitor and provide analysis of new regulatory and legislative policies affecting the company
  • Represent company before state and federal agencies, coordinate and manage outside counsel
  • Develop internal policies and practices designed to meet compliance federal and state environmental legal and regulatory standards
  • Conduct training company personnel groups on environmental requirements and compliance


What you will need: 

  • JD Degree from an ABA-accredited accredited law school 
  • Admitted to practice law in Arizona, or able to be admitted
  • 5-plus years’ experience working with matters under federal environmental statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Experience working with electric and gas utilities a plus
