Job Title: Environmental Services Aide

About the Role
A hospital facility is seeking a dependable Environmental Services Aide to join its team. In this role, you'll help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff throughout the facility.

Schedule

  • Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
  • Must be available to work every other weekend

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain electrical, battery-powered, and mechanical cleaning equipment in safe working condition (burnisher, auto scrubber, rotary scrubber, vacuum cleaner, etc.)
  • Follow established Infection Control, Right to Know, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) policies to protect against exposure to blood, other potentially infectious materials, chemicals, radiation, and other hazardous substances
  • Incorporate safety into all aspects of work, including proper placement of "wet floor" signs, responding to emergency pages, using correct body mechanics/ergonomics, and safely using and dispensing chemicals
  • Maintain assigned areas in a clean and sanitary condition for patients, residents, guests, visitors, and staff, including cleaning beds, restrooms, furniture, and fixtures
  • Refill supplies and promptly remove trash and linen
  • Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner

Education

  • Minimum: None required
  • Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent
