Hybrid Remote - Enterprise Applications & Development Analyst #201318

The Enterprise Applications & Development Analyst will report to the Director of Enterprise Applications. This position is Hybrid remote work from home. This position will be responsible for Enterprise Applications services such as Banner ERP, Banner Self-Service, Banner Document Management System,
Banner Communication Management, Evisions Products, Degree Works, CashNet, and Ellucian Portal/Experience. This
position requires an in-depth understanding of the database structure and Banner ERP system processes and interfaces.
This position may be required to be available after hours. This position also works with the Vice President of IT & Operations
on special technical project initiatives as assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists in developing and automating reports and dashboards using Evisions Argos and Oracle SQL Developer,
writes query reports and ad-hoc reports as required.
Develops and maintains PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and Database Views.
Uses Oracle PL/SQL coding dealing with custom data mapping structures and sets automation of secure files
transfer tasks with Unix/Windows Scripting.
Creates complex queries for application database calls.
Collaborates and provides technical support to individual functional areas (e.g., Financial Services, Payroll,
Purchasing, Human Resources, Institutional Advancement and Students Services), including training users on
application use, building reports, performing data imports and analysis, troubleshooting Banner System Processes
errors and other ERP related issues.
Maintains Enterprise Applications User Access List and Functional Permissions.
Applies required patches and upgrades on a regular basis. Performs analysis, testing and troubleshooting to confirm
that the upgrades are successful in coordination with the Database Administrator.
Assists in the maintenance, development, deployment, and support of any processes that interface with collegewide Enterprise System Applications.
Assists in the maintenance, support, and customizations of the Dashboard (EllucianPortal/Experience);
updates site contents, creates new sites, maintains user and content security. Implements
Single Sign On (SSO) service to eligible system applications.
Participates with any research, acceptance testing and implementation of systems modules when needed for new
processes, patches, integrations, and upgrades.
Develops and maintains specific documentation and associated plans for applications maintenance, upgrades,
appropriate use, and administration.
Prepares detailed technical specifications, data reporting requirements, template, design and ensures compliance
with data standards and specifications.
Performs other duties or special projects as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree/Associate’s Degree in Computer Information Systems or any Computer related field with a
minimum of 3 years of IT Applications support and development experience.
Familiarity with any Student Information Systems or other ERP Systems.
Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to new technologies, methods, & tools.
Proficiency in using any of the following technologies: Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, MS Access, IIS, Tomcat &
WebLogic.
Good working knowledge of MS operating systems, LINUX, UNIX is a plus.
Microsoft SharePoint Experience & knowledge of Single Sign on Technologies.
Some web development experience, e.g., PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript is desirable
Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws (FERPA, PHI, et al).
Must be highly selfmotivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
Must be well organized, be able to prioritize, and keep meticulous records including detailed documentation for
technology systems and processes.
Must have effective interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with culturally diverse populations, college
administrators, faculty, staff, students, and the public.
Must have proven analytical and problemsolving skills.
Experienced in creating both technical and user manuals for new and existing applications.
Experienced with designing business-based solutions to support the functions in various business units, preferably
in a higher education environment.
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team in accomplishing tasks.
Ability to handle multiple, complex, and varied assignments in a timely manner.
Ability to analyze and interpret data and to communicate technical information clearly and effectively to individuals
at all levels of the organization with varying levels of understanding.
Ability to create and maintain detailed testing plans and associated scripts.
Ability to conduct research into enterprise systems applications issues and products as required.
