Position Summary
Magellan Aerospace, Mississauga has an exciting new opportunity for an Engineering Project Lead. The successful incumbent will manage various projects in support of the division’s continued growth by driving results through cross functional teams (Estimating, Contracts, Process Engineering, Quality Assurance, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance and C.I.)
Essential Responsibilities
- Manage new product launches to ensure all contractual obligations and launch targets are met.
- Drive results through cross-functional teams: Estimating, Contracts, Process Engineering, Quality Assurance, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance and C.I.
- Create and manage NPI project plans, budget plans, capacity plans and project related reports.
- Coordinate with customers and suppliers all external action items needed to support the NPI project plans.
- Perform risk analysis.
- Participate in RCCA investigations.
- Perform various tasks as needed
Position Requirements
- Degree/ College Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Process Planning or Manufacturing Engineering experience.
- Project management experience/ training or PMP certification would be an asset.
- Ability to use MS Project for project management.
- Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing and repair processes, drawings, specifications and applicable standards.
- Good understanding of tooling, gauging and equipment utilization.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Experience in Solid Edge would be an asset
- Candidates who are chosen for the position will need to pass a security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program and obtain and maintain a Contract Security clearance at the Reliability Status level
