- Serve as the primary point of escalation for technical issues, guiding projects through design review, scoping, and client coordination.
- Manage deliverables across the data center lifecycle—from concept and design through construction, commissioning, operations, and end-of-life retrofit or replacement.
- Partner with mechanical engineers of record and commissioning teams to ensure project integrity and performance standards are met.
- Oversee liquid cooling system design for AI data centers, ensuring solutions meet the highest standards of energy and water efficiency.
- Facilitate weekly team meetings and technical reviews to ensure alignment, knowledge-sharing, and continuous improvement.
- Report directly to the Director of Engineering & Construction, collaborating cross-functionally to deliver exceptional technical results on high-profile, nationally recognized projects.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 15+ years of mechanical or design engineering experience, with a strong background in data centers, high-tech buildings, hospitals, or manufacturing plants.
- 5+ years of leadership experience, managing and mentoring technical teams.
- Deep technical expertise in hydronic systems, mechanical design, and controls integration.
- Proven ability to interpret and evaluate complex mechanical design drawings and coordinate across multi-disciplinary teams.
- Experience with liquid cooling technologies for IT infrastructure.
- Familiarity with ASHRAE standards strongly preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and client-facing skills with a collaborative, hands-on management style.
Why You’ll Love It Here
- Competitive compensation and leadership incentives.
- Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, 401(k), life, and disability coverage.
- Generous paid time off, holidays, and parental leave.
- Continuing education and professional development opportunities.
- The chance to lead a highly skilled technical team working on the most advanced AI and data center energy projects in the country.
- A collaborative, innovative culture that values technical excellence, integrity, and people development.
If you’re an accomplished Engineering Manager who’s ready to lead transformative projects at the forefront of data center energy innovation, we’d love to hear from you.
