Our client in the construction industry is seeking to hire a full time Engineer. The business is well established for almost 3 decades and the administrative office is located in Bohemia (Suffolk county). The candidate must have experience in construction for fire sprinkler.

Responsibilities of the Engineer:

• Design fire sprinkler systems.
• Prepare hydraulic calculations.
• Participate in company learning / training sessions.
• Coordinator sprinkler design with existing structure and other subcontractors.
• Prepare “as-built” drawings for in-house archive and client files.
• Review project updates for change orders.
• Prepare stock lists and material requisitions.
  Perform field surveys for initial drawing layout as well as follow-up for accuracy and coordination.
• Interface with GC / Owner.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Must be knowledgeable and experienced at applying National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards.

Schedule:

8:00am – 5:00pm Monday thru Thursday

8:00am – 3:00pm Friday

Salary is based upon experience but the target is $100k-125k plus a benefits package.
