Quality Engineer - Quality

Position Summary

Magellan Aerospace, Bangalore has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineer - Quality Department. This position works closely with the Production & Quality Team and Responsible for completion of First Article Inspection Reports, Knowledge of First Article Inspection as per AS9102. To carry out in process inspections & final inspections.

Essential Responsibilities

  • To co-ordinate with internal departments of the company/quality
  • To prepare new inspection plans
  • To carry out in process inspections

• To carry out final inspections

• Attend internal Quality meetings as required

• To be responsible for completion of First Article Inspection Reports

• To organise and participate in the correct filing of Quality documents in the appropriate locations

• To be instrumental in continuous improvements

• To release products on EFACS and to raise release documents

• Responsible for checking skill matrices before allocating tasks to employees

Position Requirements

Ideally, the jobholder should possess the following Education Qualifications, Skills and experience.

Education Qualification: Diploma Mechanical / DME (With 3- 5 years’ Experience Min).

• To be experienced in all aspects of inspection methods in the aerospace sector

• To have good analytical skills

• IT skills to include Microsoft Office(Excel ,word, Power point), EFACS

Skills Set Required:

• Knowledge of AS9100 standard

• Knowledge of First Article Inspection per AS9102

• Final Inspection of Parts

• Preparation of Quality Plans

• Good Knowledge of GD&T

• Acquire enhanced inspection skills

• To be able to read & interpret engineering drawings

• To have good communication skills
