Employment Law Associate Attorney - Class Action Focus

Salary: $275,000.00 - $335,000.00 per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead defense in complex wage and hour class and collective actions, delivering strategic legal defenses and managing all aspects of litigation.
  • Conduct thorough witness interviews and oversee a meticulous discovery process, including taking and defending depositions.
  • Provide informed and forward-thinking advice on both federal and state employment law compliance issues.
  • Draft, review, and implement workplace policies and procedures to ensure client operations align with legal standards.
  • Plan and execute employment training programs to educate client teams on best practices and legal obligations.
  • Maintain a proactive role in managing cases and client relationships, ensuring timely and effective legal solutions.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • JD from a top-tier law school with a distinguished academic track record.
  • Required Bar Admission in the practice jurisdiction with good standing.
  • 4-6 years of substantial experience in complex employment litigation, particularly with wage and hour class and collective action defenses.
  • Proven capability in handling witness interviews, depositions, and various aspects of the discovery process.
  • Exceptional research, analytical, and legal writing skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Trial experience and familiarity with courtroom procedures and dynamics.
  • Experience providing counsel on federal and state employment law compliance and drafting related policies.
  • Background in developing and administering employment training programs.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team of attorneys and legal staff.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with clients, colleagues, and court personnel.
