StaffMed Health Partners has partnered with one of the larger healthcare companies in the state of Louisiana to assist them in recruiting an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join their Emergency Department team at a high-volume, 60-bed Level II Trauma Center. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside board-certified emergency physicians, residents, and a highly skilled clinical support team in a Magnet-designated hospital and Stroke & Chest Center of Excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to a diverse patient population in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting
  • Work collaboratively with emergency medicine physicians and healthcare teams to diagnose and manage acute and critical conditions
  • Perform patient assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, initiate treatment plans, and provide follow-up care
  • Assist in managing high-acuity cases, trauma patients, and medical emergencies
  • Utilize the Epic EMR system for documentation and patient management
  • Participate in the Fast Track unit for lower-acuity cases, optimizing patient flow and care efficiency
Qualifications:
  • Board Certified NP/PA, with active license and prescriptive authority in the State of Louisiana required
  • Minimum 1-2 years of emergency medicine or acute care experience preferred
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
  • Strong ability to work in a high-volume emergency setting with approximately 100,000 patient visits per year
