JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Impulse, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Embroidery Department Manager in Summerville. The Embroidery Department Manager is responsible for all aspects of our commercial embroidery operation, ensuring exceptional quality, efficient production, and outstanding customer satisfaction. This individual will take ownership of the department, continuously improve processes, maintain our equipment, and help scale the business as additional embroidery equipment and team members are added.

Responsibilities of a Embroidery Department Manager includes: MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE

Production Management

  • Manage daily embroidery production schedule.
  • Prioritize jobs to meet customer deadlines.
  • Monitor workflow and maximize production efficiency.
  • Coordinate with office staff regarding order status and scheduling.

Commercial Embroidery

  • Operate and oversee commercial embroidery equipment.
  • Set up and run production efficiently.
  • Ensure proper hooping, stabilizers, thread selection, and machine settings.
  • Troubleshoot embroidery issues and minimize downtime.

Quality Control

  • Inspect all completed orders before delivery.
  • Ensure customer proofs are accurate and approved when required.
  • Maintain exceptionally high quality standards.
  • Prevent production errors and reduce rework.

Department Leadership

  • Build and improve department systems.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Train and mentor future embroidery technicians.
  • Foster accountability, organization, and continuous improvement.

Inventory & Equipment

  • Manage embroidery supplies, thread, needles, backing, and inventory.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance.
  • Coordinate equipment servicing when necessary.
  • Recommend future equipment purchases as the department expands.

Business Growth

  • Support the continued growth of our B2B embroidery division.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability.
  • Assist with onboarding new corporate embroidery accounts.
  • Help prepare the department for future expansion.

Job Requirements of a Embroidery Department Manager :

Preferred candidates will possess:

  • Commercial embroidery experience.
  • Experience operating commercial embroidery equipment (Melco experience preferred; Tajima, Barudan, SWF, Happy, Ricoma, or similar commercial equipment also considered).
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems.
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Computer proficiency and willingness to learn new software.
