Full-Time $130,000 – $185,000

The Role

Own the full embedded software lifecycle — from requirements through certification — on safety-critical aerospace systems. You'll operate with minimal supervision inside a collaborative IPT, driving DO-178 compliance, code quality, and verification from day one.

What You'll Do

  • Develop, test, and verify embedded software per DO-178 guidelines
  • Trace customer requirements end-to-end through design and code
  • Perform requirements, design, and code analysis for standards compliance
  • Review verification outputs across programs against customer standards
  • Generate and review technical documentation — proposals, reports, procedures
  • Drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions on technical issues
  • Support IPT activities across engineering, ops, quality, and business teams

Required Qualifications

  • 5–8+ years of embedded software experience in aerospace
  • BS/BA in Engineering (MS or PhD a plus)
  • Expert knowledge of DO-178 — planning, requirements, verification, certification
  • Proficiency in C/C++ and Assembly
  • Aerospace communication interfaces: ARINC429, RS232, CAN, AFDX
  • Requirements management tools (DOORS) and CM tools (Synergy, PVCS)
  • Structural coverage analysis: CodeTest, LDRA, or equivalent
  • Requirements simulation: Matlab/Simulink or SCADE
  • Scripting languages: PERL, VB, ASP, or similar
