Job Description
Apollo Technical has an immediate need for a Marine Electronics Technician

Responsibilities:- Trouble shoot and diagnose all levels of electronic systems
- Radar
- VHF and MF/HF
- AIS
- Computer systems
- Camera systems
- GPS
- 12VDC and 24VDC power systems
- Gyro
- Charting programs
- Depth sounder and Speed Log
- Must know how to use multi-meter/ amp meter/ megger
- Terminate all types of electronic equipment
- Read all types of prints
- Perform routine maintenance and inspecting of communication and navigation equipment
- Ability to learn and adapt to new equipment and manufactures
- Manage projects as assigned
- On-call for a (7) seven-day period
- Travel occasionally for the company to work at other locations
- The Company is a 24 hour a day 7 day a week operation and overtime is required.
Qualifications:
- Education
- High School diploma or equivalent
- FCC GMDSS maintainers/operator’s license
- Physical
- Ability to lift and carry 50lbs for extended distances
- Ability to work in all adverse weather condition
- Ability to climb ladders, stairs and gangways up to 25 feet in height
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch and work above head for extended periods of time
- Ability to operate Marine vehicles in a safe and courteous manner
- Personal Background
- Must be capable of acquiring valid TWIC
- Must have valid driver license
- Must have clean driving record with no DWI convictions
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test
Practical Experience
- Previous experience in electronic service industry
- Good communications skills
- Professional manner in dealing with other employees, management and customers
- Organizational Skills
- Basic mechanical skills
