Russ Hadick and Associates has partnered with a Norfolk, NE client to help them search and qualify candidates for their client's 1st shift Electronic Technician.

As an electronic technician, you often face the challenge of dealing with complex systems that require precise and efficient handling.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assemble and modify sub-assemblies, final assemblies, and systems based on manufacturing drawings and instructions.
  • Coordinate effectively with production, purchasing, engineering, and quality teams to ensure project completion.
  • Design, communicate, estimate, and implement electronic circuits and PLC programming.
  • Perform necessary lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures for all machine work as per established safety requirements.
  • Test production machines to ensure they operate correctly according to established criteria.
  • Troubleshoot electronics down to the component level to identify and fix malfunctions, including conducting detailed experimental testing when necessary.
  • Perform required repairs on mechanical and electrical systems to restore units to operational status.
  • Identify root causes of electrical and mechanical problems and implement corrective actions to resolve them.
  • Set up and test units to meet specified requirements, recognizing and addressing failures and setup issues.
  • Inspect all work meticulously before passing it on to the next operation.
  • Keep supervisors informed of unresolved and potential problems that could impact production schedules.
  • Complete all required paperwork accurately and thoroughly.
  • Provide support to Maintenance, Operations, and Production Supervisors on all production assignments.
  • Undertake miscellaneous assignments and work in other departments as directed.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical drawings and creating diagrams using SolidWorks.
  • Hands-on experience with Digital Volt Meters (DVM), oscilloscopes, PLC logic for various brands, and standard hand tools.
  • Superior soldering abilities.
  • Advanced training in electronic theory, whether through a technical trade school, military training, an Associate degree program, or extensive on-the-job experience.

Working Conditions

  • A typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, with hours aligning with the business unit’s requirements; occasional off-hours work may be necessary.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift at least 45 pounds and assist with moving servers and relocating equipment.
