We are seeking a Engineering Tools & CAD Team Lead to oversee and support a team of CAD Technicians and engineering support staff. This role involves managing engineering tools, optimizing software systems, and leading tool-related initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Management: Assign tasks, mentor, and oversee CAD Technicians and engineering support staff.
• Engineering Tools & Systems: Maintain and optimize CAD software, PLM systems, and technical databases.
• Project Leadership: Implement new software, update libraries, and develop automation solutions.
• Collaboration: Work closely with engineering managers to ensure efficient task execution and problem resolution.
• Documentation & Training: Develop work instructions, maintain training materials, and conduct staff training on tools and best practices.
• System Optimization: Act as a liaison between engineering, IT, and vendors to ensure optimal system functionality.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure CAD designs, schematics, and deliverables meet accuracy, compliance, and quality standards.

Key Competencies:

• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and PLM/ERP systems
• Strong leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills
• Experience in developing and managing CAD libraries
• Electrical, Systems or Mechanical Engineering Degree Needed
• Travel: 30% overnight travel needed
• Must be US Citizen, Permanent Resident or Green Card holder.
