JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Impulse, Inc. has an immediate opening for an Electrical Technician in Whitehall, MI. Our client is a leading manufacturing company known for its innovation, reliability, and commitment to quality. The Electrical Technician is responsible for performing electrical troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of production machinery, as well as supporting continuous improvement initiatives on 2nd or 3rd shift.

Responsibilities of an Electrical Technician include:

  • Perform electrical and electronic troubleshooting on industrial machinery and equipment.

  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and blueprints.

  • Install, repair, and maintain electrical components and systems.

  • Support PLC troubleshooting and programming adjustments as needed.

  • Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and plant policies.

  • Work closely with production teams to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.

Job Requirements of an Electrical Technician:

  • Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems (480V, 3-phase).

  • Experience with PLCs, VFDs, motors, and control systems.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Willingness to work on 2nd or 3rd shift with occasional overtime as needed.

REQUIRED Experience and Education:

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing electrical maintenance role.

  • Familiarity with NFPA 70E and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
