We are searching for an Electrical Engineer to join our client’s growing team.

Basic Functions:
- Coordinating the maintenance of the plant substations, distribution transformers, SVC+, Reactors, EAF/LMF transformers and associated breakers, relays and switchgears, Arc Regulation and protection circuits (13.8kV, 34.5kV and lower)
- Development and implementation of electrical safety and reliability programs, and of preventative and corrective maintenance programs for plant electrical power distribution and protection equipment
- Maintain contingency plans, update Coordination and Arc Flash Studies, leading energy efficiency efforts, training electricians.
- Specification, procurement, installation and commissioning of new equipment
Qualifications:
- BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualifications and experience in the electrical field
- 2+ years experience in Industrial Electrical in a manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledgeable for the NFPA/NEC/ANSI/IEEE standards
- Power Distribution Switchgear Installation and Maintenance Experience (3 years)
- Electrical Engineer experience in steel making industry
- Experience with short circuit studies including relay coordination, arc flash analysis, transient analysis, and harmonic analysis
- AutoCAD capability and experience programming microprocessor relays
- Equipment upgrade, installation, and commissioning experience
- Experience with Coordination/Arc Flash calculation software
- Demonstrated commitment to Safety
- Demonstrated knowledge of electrical theory as applied to power distribution and protection equipment
- Demonstrated knowledge of testing and maintenance practices related to power distribution and protection equipment
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate technical concepts, both verbally and in writing, between multiple groups and disciplines
