Electrical Engineer
Job Description
Responsibilities:
- The Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer role focuses on both improving the strategic long-term reliability of the site’s electrical and instrumentation systems and supporting the site’s day to day operation with electrical expertise.
- Provide oversight for routine system and infrastructure checks on the site's substations, MCCs, switchgear, transformers, and grounding systems.
- This role will provide technical support during upset conditions, including leading Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) investigations, troubleshooting of complex electrical issues, and Management of Change (MOC).
- Act as the electrical Subject Matter Expert (SME).
- Relocation provided. $130K-$150K.
- The Instrumentation & Electrical Engineer will have a BSEE and 7+ years of demonstrated electrical engineering experience in reliability, design, maintenance and construction in a chemical manufacturing or industrial plant environment.
- Strong working knowledge of electrical power distribution, motor control and industrial instrumentation systems.
- Demonstrate knowledge of NEC, NESC, NFPA 70B, and NFPA 70E.
- Ability to troubleshoot motor controls through 4.160kV.
- Working knowledge of power system analysis and protective relays.
- Experience with calibration programs and instrument lifecycle management.
- Knowledge of Electrical Safety standards and Area Electrical Classification standards (API, NFPA, NEC and NETA).
- Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
