Job Title: Electrical Engineer - Power Systems Submersibles
Location: Auburn Hills, MI
Job Summary:
In this role, you will leverage your expertise in electrical engineering, power supplies, and general robotics to develop and launch a groundbreaking new product for robotics business. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to subsea robotics solutions that enhance our marine services, working on cutting-edge designs that operate in demanding underwater environments.
Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and test power supply systems for submersible robotics platforms, ensuring reliability, eViciency, and compliance with underwater operational standards.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers and software developers, to integrate electrical systems into overall robotic product architectures.

Conduct simulations, prototyping, and validation of power distribution and management systems tailored to robotics applications.

Troubleshoot and optimize electrical components for high-pressure, corrosive subsea conditions, focusing on energy eViciency and thermal management.

Support product launch activities, including documentation, regulatory compliance, and field testing of new robotics products.

Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement in our robotics R&D processes.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

5+ years of hands-on experience in electrical engineering with a strong emphasis on
power supplies, including DC-DC converters, battery management systems, and
high-voltage applications.

Proven experience in product design, particularly in robotics or mechatronics
environments; familiarity with submersible or marine robotics is highly preferred.

Proficiency in tools such as Altium Designer, MATLAB/Simulink, or similar for circuit
design and simulation.

Knowledge of relevant standards (e.g., IP ratings for waterproofing, IEEE power
standards) and experience with embedded systems integration.

Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced,
collaborative setting.

Strong communication skills for technical documentation and stakeholder
presentations. Preferred Skills:

Interest and background with underwater power systems, ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicles) or AUV (Autonomous Underwater Vehicles) development.

Background in sensor integration, motor controls, or renewable energy systems for robotics.

Familiarity with agile development methodologies and version control tools like Git.
