Overview:

Our client is seeking an Electrical Engineer to contribute to a variety of projects involving the design, installation, and optimization of electrical systems. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and the ability to apply them in real-world applications, particularly within the context of HVAC systems, building automation, and electrical upgrades. The Electrical Engineer will collaborate with internal teams and clients to develop solutions that enhance system performance and sustainability.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the design and implementation of electrical systems for commercial and institutional buildings, ensuring alignment with client specifications and project goals.
  • Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Develop construction drawings, perform engineering calculations, and prepare technical specifications.
  • Conduct site surveys to assess existing electrical systems and identify areas for improvement or upgrades.
  • Provide coordination and support during the construction phase of projects, ensuring quality and compliance with design specifications.
  • Develop and maintain engineering and drafting standards to ensure consistency across projects.
  • Assist with developing preliminary designs and system layouts for complex projects, providing innovative solutions to meet project challenges.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and other team members to relay project updates and technical information.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in electrical engineering, energy efficiency, and building automation systems.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in electrical system design, particularly in HVAC, building automation, or MEP systems.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, with experience in drafting and design software.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with electrical calculations and system optimization.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and building codes.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team and external stakeholders.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for site visits.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites, up to 25%.


Working Conditions:
  • Primarily office-based with occasional site visits to construction or project locations.
  • Ability to navigate buildings and mechanical rooms, inspect systems, and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
  • Some travel required for on-site assessments, client meetings, and project support.
