Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Engineer with hands-on experience in Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) design. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, testing, and troubleshooting complex PCBAs for a variety of applications, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design multilayer PCBAs using ECAD tools (e.g., Altium Designer, OrCAD, KiCad)
- Develop electrical schematics and perform component selection based on technical and cost requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, firmware, manufacturing) to ensure design integration and manufacturability
- Perform circuit simulation and analysis to verify functionality and signal integrity
- Conduct hardware bring-up, debug, and validation testing on PCBA prototypes
- Create and maintain design documentation, BOMs, and test procedures
- Interface with contract manufacturers and suppliers to support DFM/DFT and production release
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., IPC, UL, CE, RoHS)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 3+ years of experience in PCBA design and development
- Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout tools
- Strong understanding of analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit design
- Experience with lab tools (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters) for hardware debugging
- Familiarity with EMC best practices and regulatory testing is a plus
Preferred Skills:
- Experience designing for high-speed digital, RF, or power electronics
- Familiarity with embedded systems and microcontroller interfaces
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and reliability testing
