  • Perform assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities
  • Perform PLC programming
  • Apply standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related engineering tasks
  • Responsible for the design and redesign of machine drives, controls, and power distribution systems to increase plant reliability and reduce breakdowns
  • Will handle electrical portions of projects and act as Project Engineer where appropriate
  • Should be willing and able to provide technical assistance to electricians in diagnosis of equipment malfunctions
  • New equipment design and development
  • Perform risk assessments and ensure compliance with safety standards and electrical engineering codes
  • Structural or building design, circuit or control design and development
  • Evaluate systems and recommend design modifications or equipment repair
  • Preparation and approval of detailed drawings
  • Surveying, testing, and evaluating materials and processes
  • Prepare cost estimates
  • Provide leadership in troubleshooting or non-routine equipment repairs
  • Schedule work and prepare preventative maintenance plans
  • Reporting and presenting as applicable
