Electrical Engineer for Water and Wastewater Projects

Salary: DOE per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation of detailed design drawings and specifications for electrical systems tailored to municipal and industrial facilities.
  • Facilitate effective collaboration among design professionals and contractors to ensure smooth execution during project construction phases.
  • Conduct comprehensive electrical studies to support project requirements and ensure reliability.
  • Travel overnight occasionally to oversee project progress and ensure alignment with client needs and standards.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
  • At least 5-10 years of experience in consulting engineering, specifically in designing power and control systems for municipal and industrial facilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current E.I.T. or active Professional Engineering License.
  • Robust experience in designing power and control systems for water and wastewater treatment facilities.
  • Proven ability to perform Arc Flash Hazard Analysis and related electrical safety assessments.

Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices applicable to municipal and industrial infrastructure.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in using engineering design software and tools.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with team members and clients.
  • Capacity to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to strict deadlines.
