Earthwork Estimator — Apex, NC

Our client, a highly respected self-perform general contractor in the water and wastewater treatment plant market, is adding an Earthwork Estimator to its preconstruction team in Apex, NC. This is a trade-estimating seat focused on sitework: mass grading, excavation, and site utilities for major treatment plant projects.

What You'll Do

Prepare complete, competitive earthwork and sitework estimates for water and wastewater treatment plant projects
Perform quantity takeoffs from civil drawings, price cut/fill, excavation, dewatering, and site utility scopes, and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing
Visit project sites as needed (pool vehicles provided) and work with operations on means, methods, and pricing strategy

What They're Looking For

An estimating background with a site development company or a large earthwork contractor — someone who knows dirt
A track record of accurate, winning earthwork estimates
This is an in-office role in Apex, NC — not remote and not a traveling position; relocation is welcome

Compensation & Benefits

$80,000 – $140,000 base salary, depending on experience and qualifications, plus discretionary bonus eligibility
Four weeks of PTO to start: two weeks vacation, one week sick leave (unused sick time accrues), and one week flexible — with a path to a fifth week after five years
Pool vehicles available for site visits; lead estimators receive a vehicle allowance
