We are currently seeking an accomplished and strategic-minded Director of Trust and Wealth to lead a Trust and Wealth management division in Palatine, IL. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of trust administration, estate planning, and fiduciary services for our high-profile clients. This executive-level position requires extensive experience in the financial industry, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of delivering exceptional results.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES:

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the trust and wealth management division
  • Develop and implement business strategies to drive growth and maximize profitability
  • Manage a portfolio of high-net-worth clients, ensuring exceptional service and personalized attention
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with key clients, attorneys, and financial advisors
  • Oversight of administration and servicing of assigned fiduciary accounts, investment management accounts, charitable accounts, IRAs, profit sharing/401k plans, estates, guardianships, etc. Strong interpersonal skills are required.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements governing trust and fiduciary services
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and tax laws impacting trust administration and estate planning
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop innovative solutions and enhance service offerings
  • Serve as part of the executive team, including attending weekly meetings to present business decisions to the board
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing expert guidance on wealth management, succession planning, and philanthropic initiatives
  • Drive new business development efforts through networking, referrals, and participation in industry events

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or related field; advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., JD, MBA, CFA, CTFA) preferred
  • Extensive experience in trust administration, estate planning, or wealth management, with a focus on serving high-net-worth clients
  • Proven track record of leadership and success in an executive-level position within the financial industry
  • In-depth knowledge of fiduciary duties, tax laws, investment strategies, and complex wealth structures
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships
  • Strategic thinker with exceptional business acumen and the ability to drive results
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial situations and propose tailored solutions
  • Ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration
