Company has been in business since 1932 providing delicious snacks and dips across the world. Due to continued growth and expansion into the market, we are currently accepting applications for a Mechanic to work in City of Industry, CA.

Compensation:

  • Hourly Pay $38.00 to $39.50 per hour.
  • $650 annual tool allowance.
  • Overtime paid after 40 hours per week/8 hours per day.
  • Typical work week is 45-50 hours per week.
  • Weekly paychecks.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday-Friday.
  • Work 10:00am-7:00pm; work until work is completed. Typically 8-10 hours per day.
  • Schedule flexibility may be available based on candidate's needs.
  • Work schedule may change based on business needs; must be flexible with work schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform preventative and as-needed maintenance of diesel trucks and electronic vehicles.
  • Properly operate the mobile service truck and attend to truck inventory.
  • Interpret and follow work orders and technical manuals.
  • Travel to locations to perform on-site diagnostics, repairs, and routine maintenance.
  • Communicate effectively with management, providing them with detailed breakdowns of service requirements and costs.
  • Maintain schedules and document completed preventative maintenance and repairs.
  • Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems.
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance; ensure work meets manufacturer's specifications according to FMCSR (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations).
  • Maintaining parts and yard organization (with direction from operations management) to ensure a clean and safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a mechanic working on Medium to light duty trucks.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working on air brakes.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience managing preventative maintenance program.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience managing preventative maintenance program on Electronic Vehicles.
  • Willing to teach and train candidates with a highly motivated attitude.
  • ASE Certification is preferred.
  • Knowledge of air, electronic, braking, and suspension systems as well as general mechanical operation and/or light body repair.
  • Familiar with FHWA (Federal Highway Administration), and FMCSR (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations), BIT (Basic Inspection of Terminals) inspections.
  • High School Diploma or GED (Preferred).
  • Must be able to lift 70 pounds.
  • Candidate must provide his/her own tools.
  • Must have a valid and current US driver's license; no CDL required.
