  • Track and report performance using leading and lagging metrics.
  • Analyze accident data to identify trends of root causes and accident types and implement appropriate corrective actions using formal problem solving tools (A3, 5 Why, etc).
  • Provide training and support to ensure regulatory requirements, at all levels, are met across the facility. Maintain government required records and reports and coordinate compliance driven safety requirements such as annual audiograms, industrial hygiene surveys, CPR/First aid, etc. Lead any activity and communication related to government complaints, external audits, Workman’s Compensation cases, etc..
  • Foster and drive a zero-incident safety culture.
  • Share safety best practices (internal and external) with all sites.
  • Train employees at all levels how to “see” potential unsafe conditions and behaviors and work with the sites to analyze current conditions and recommend safety improvements.
  • Conduct daily safety audits, identify areas of deficiency, and work the managers on action plans to address identified deficiencies.
  • Design and implement training programs required by federal and state OSHA/TOSHA (and other) regulations.
  • In coordination with site leadership, lead safety incident accident investigation process, including root cause analysis and identification / implementation of appropriate corrective actions.
  • Maintain a system for reporting and monitoring all safety policies.
  • Develop and implement Behavioral Based training and other programs designed to eliminate known hazards, improve productivity, create safety awareness and foster an engaged culture
  • Manage Workers’ Compensation-related injuries/illnesses, focusing on workplace safety prevention and ergonomics program.
  • Maintain site reporting of OSHA-300, Tier 2, and other EHS reporting as needed.
  • Manage SPCC and waste water/hazardous materials programs.
  • Create and manage safety equipment inspections forte facility.
  • Manage Mt. Pleasant ERA system for annual compliance and training.
