Maintain up-to-date knowledge and understanding of local and federal regulation. Perform the testing required to comply with the standards and internal environmental policies and/or procedures. Make sure that personal protective equipment is being used in workplaces and the dangerous materials are correctly stored according to regulations, etc. Advise and mentor Team Leaders and supervisors on EHS issues to improve workplace engagement and productivity. Develops methods for tracking appropriate EHS associated metrics to include, but not limited to: injuries, incidents and safety hazards. Makes recommendations based upon data and regulation on ways to improve employee quality of life, increase safety and reduce costs. Conducts Risk Management assessments on EHS issues to eliminate hazards to employees and the environment. Research, develop, schedule and facilitate EHS training programs, as appropriate. Facilitate employee engagement through Emergency Responders, and related EHS programs. Perform additional duties and projects as needed or when assigned. Working knowledge of regulations and best practices in the following areas: hazardous materials, waste manifesting, industrial safety, ergonomics, workplace injuries and product environmental compliance AED/CPR and First Aid certified Experience with workers injury response and reporting requirements Proven written and verbal communications skills; ability to write clear and concise reports. Goal oriented and self-directed Organized, possessing strong computer hardware and software skills; proficient in MS Office suite
