Job Summary
Our client has recently launched their ecommerce platforms as they expand their network of convenience to the public. As an E-commerce Officer, your role is to market and grow these platforms via the implementation and coordination of e-commerce sales strategies, monitor the daily operations of these online platforms and execute e-marketing campaigns to reach stated sales targets.
The successful candidate will provide online sales analysis, prepare sales and traffic reports. This person must possess strong analytical abilities and good decision-making skills as they sift through consumer and competitor insights to effectively market these brands in a highly competitive market space. Strong, effective communication skills and the willingness to work in a highly collaborative environment are also required alongside creative problem-solving skills in handling the customer’s concerns. This candidate will need to figure out what went wrong, how problems might be fixed and how to avoid them from happening again.
Job Responsibilities
- Generates reports on all digital channels and provides strategies to optimize integrated communication between same.
- Optimizing marketing automation and lead nurturing processes through email, content, and social channels.
- Testing and optimizing marketing tactics for customer acquisition and conversion rate optimization.
- Setting up and optimizing Google AdWords campaigns or other pay-per-click (PPC) advertising.
- Write and edit product content that will be published on e-Commerce websites/portals.
- Set standards, systems, and best practices for new product listings, content creation, distribution, and maintenance.
- Work closely with different teams (product management, graphics, sales) to provide updated content that will be shared across e-Commerce platforms.
- Manage all areas of Media Marketing, PPC, Email Marketing, SEO, Keyword Research and Google Analytics as related to Ecommerce
- Support in other areas of Website UX and Paid social media.
- Ensure adherence to SEO best practices regarding inventory, pre-orders, and pricing policies.
- Monitor changes in product sales by using web analytics and Excel spreadsheets to stay organized.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
- Research advertising trends and competitors’ pricing and products
- Decide on appropriate placement of ads and determine what content will best reach customers.
- Publish digital marketing content online and implement email marketing campaigns
- Measure digital traffic, optimize paid advertising campaigns and monitor social media and Google Analytics
- Report on the growth and analytics of campaigns to stakeholders and scale campaigns to maximize ROI
- Monitor project status and budget and conduct market research to inform campaigns
- Brainstorm and implement experiments and conversion tests
- Ability to work outside of normal working hours, as required by the Manager.
Job Requirements
- BSC degree in Marketing or relevant field.
- Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in a fast-paced, e-Commerce business.
- Hands-on experience in managing and maintaining e-Commerce websites/portals.
- Knowledgeable of the e-Commerce space that includes marketing strategies, various leading e-Commerce website builders (e.g. Shopify, Elementor), product development, competitive strategies, consumer research, industry trends and usability best practices.
- Knowledge of various platforms and online sales strategies and can be used to conduct digital sales or website conversions.
- Familiarity with web design and a keen eye to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Analytical and multitasking skills.
- Self-motivated, out-of-the-box thinker.
