Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Vice President of a regional transportation provider.

The Dry Van Sales Executive is a hunter responsible for the sales and marketing dry van fleet to hunt for new business and maintain current relationships with customers. Identifies new markets and customer leads and develops a strong sales pipeline. Negotiate rates with customers under the guidance of the VP, Van Division. Onboards new customers, ensuring a smooth transition. Grows load counts with current customers. Bring solutions to the table for closing new business, knowing when to escalate. Communicates with department managers to assess and distribute current information on the development and needs of customers. Coordinates complete sales cycle process including prospect list initiation, lead generation, prospect qualification, analysis, and presentation(s), start-up and customer service follow-up after the sale. Acts as a representative of the company at industry events to network with industry leaders and prospect possible business opportunities. Advocates for customers and help drive a customer service mentality within the company. Challenge is to increase revenues and improve profitability. Travel 25 %.

  • Time & territory management reporting process
  • Proven track record of producing profitable growth
  • Demonstrated ability closing new business
  • Pricing logic & analysis
  • National account exposure
  • Computer literate: Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, & Outlook
  • Residence: Saint Louis, MO (Home office environment)
