Driver

Local auto auction is seeking to hire lot operations staff. They are a full-service used-vehicle auction services provider that facilitates the wholesale remarketing of used vehicles for (Business to Business) B2B customers, delivering a critical liquidity function to enable the used car sales ecosystem. The Company’s daily mission is simple and straightforward: to provide high quality service and operational execution for dealers and institutional customers.

What you’ll do:

The Driver is responsible for pick-up and delivery of vehicles from various dealerships, repo yards, rental/leasing companies, banks, utility companies, government yards and various mechanic/body shops.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure vehicles are safe for operation.
• Certify all fluid levels except for gas are checked and full prior to driving any vehicle. Notify Chase Van Driver/Ambassador of all fluids used to ensure completion of necessary paperwork.
• Make sure gas is only filled to the desired level as needed for the length of the trip.
• Do not operate vehicles ‘hot’. Pull over if vehicle runs hot.
• Take steps to avoid leaving a stranded vehicle.
• Confirm all vehicles have windows up, keys in ignition, doors unlocked, proper stock number ticket adhered to window or fleet/lease pick-up order on dash.
• Become familiar with routes and follow drivers in a pack. Never fall behind pack.
• Verify that vehicle is delivered to dealer as desired. Ensure car is parked at dealer’s location where wanted, with windows up if requested and keys are in safe and secure place.
• Double check cars are parked in proper location based on run number in windshield on sale day.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous driving or courier experience preferred.
• Highly organized, self-motivated and self-disciplined.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Environment: The environment of the Driver involves the transportation of vehicles to and from the auction. Those working in this position are subject to temperature changes, all types of weather conditions, elevated noise levels and at times fumes and odors associated with vehicle exhaust at times

Schedule: Monday through Friday 7 AM -5-6 PM (possibly a little later on Wed & Fri auction days)
