Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director of Operations for a regional transportation provider.

The Driver Recruiter is responsible for identifying, sourcing, and recruiting qualified Class A-CDL company drivers with the goal of seating 4 to 6 drivers per month. Oversees the recruitment and retention of the company, to provide a sustainable mix of safe, qualified drivers. Promotes a positive business environment to be a source of guidance for drivers. Develops and maintains a full understanding of local driver and labor market. Develops networks with external sources to continually improve sourcing opportunities. Enforces tools, processes, and collateral to improve recruiting productivity & effectiveness. Primary duties will include, but are not limited to, answer recruiting calls, maintain consistent, steady flow of qualified driver applicants entering weekly orientation class. Screen and pre-qualify applicants. Assists in annual requirements related to driver CDL’s, MVR checks and DOT physicals. Returns email and phone messages within 24 hours, answers messages after hours or on weekends.

Background Required:
  • Driver recruitment – over the road OTR & regional drivers (3 yrs)
  • Driver sourcing, interviewing, hiring, & onboarding
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations
  • Driver retention strategies
  • Social media implementation & outreach
  • Generated & managed a sales pipeline
  • Applicant tracking systems: (i.e., TenStreet, HireRight)
  • Computer literate: Microsoft (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, & Outlook)
  • Residence: Minneapolis, MN.
