Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the COO for a leading company in the Specialized Transportation industry. It is a privately owned trucking company with locations in multiple cities including Dallas, Los Angeles, Thomasville, San Francisco, Phoenix, Chino, and Pomona. They provide LTL, final mile and white glove, as well as brokerage and warehousing services. The Driver Recruiter will be responsible for recruiting and retaining qualified owner-operators and company drivers at all locations: line OTR, local and regional (90% O/O – 10% Company Drivers). They will manage initial orientation & initial safety training and follow up on new drivers’ progress to ensure proper integration into the company and that they both understand and meet expectations. Work together with Operations to ensure proper processing. Responsible for ensuring the driver qualification process is followed, and all safety documentation is processed completely. Assist in the development and implementation of Company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Actively seek out and participate in internal and external training programs that help improve personal performance and well-being.

Background Required:
  • Driver Recruiting (2+ yrs.)
  • Owner-Operator / Company driver recruiting (local, regional, national)
  • Driver sourcing, interviewing, hiring, & onboarding
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations
  • Social media implementation & outreach
  • Applicant tracking systems: (i.e. TenStreet, HireRight)
  • Bilingual: English and Spanish
  • Computer literate: Microsoft (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, & Outlook)
  • Residence: Remote, but must live in CA, OR, MI, AZ, NC, AL, TX, FL, MS, or NV
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • Driver retention strategies
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree
Other Essential Abilities and Skills:
  • Excellent communications (i.e. verbal and written)
  • Strong personal social media presence; actively involved in recruiting groups and organizations
  • Attention to detail - ensures accuracy in recruiting processes, onboarding documentation and driver orientation
  • Work independently and within team
  • Relationship building; understanding of drivers needs
  • Adaptable & flexible. Makes self available when target audience requires
