Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Capacity Manager of a rapidly growing company that’s revolutionizing the short-haul trucking industry. The Drayage Carrier Development role will be responsible for building and strengthening the pipeline of drayage carriers to support business. This includes creating, developing, and managing new and existing carrier relationships, as well as growing carrier base, integrating them into the company network, and key carrier development strategy will be critical. Collaborate with operations and sales to meet business objectives. Integrate technology with carriers and drive them to meet and exceed set KPIs. Stay knowledgeable of changes in the market. Promote safety, respect, sustainability, and an entrepreneurial mindset. Goal is to increase revenue, optimize cost, and maximize profitability.

Background Required:
  • Progressive responsibility within Drayage Carrier Development within Domestic Port and Rail Logistics (4+ years)
  • New carrier development
  • Carrier account management (scaling growth)
  • Pricing, quoting, and cost validation
  • Onboarding carriers in 3PL environment
  • Create, Develop, and Manage to key performance indicators (KPIs) (scorecard, on-time etc.)
  • Computer literate: Microsoft Suite
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree
  • Residence: Los Angeles, CA
