Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the COO of a privately held, mid-size worldwide logistics company headquartered in New Jersey. Our client specializes in domestic & international transportation, supply chain, and warehouse management and has gained industry recognition 5 years running as one of the fastest-growing logistics companies in the industry. Their proprietary state-of-the-art technology optimizes global pricing, order placement as well as customized tracking.
The Domestic Manager will be responsible to establish trucking routes, negotiate quotes that maximize savings and drive lower cost, and build/maintain strong relationships with our current and future customers. Will be responsible for all aspects of LTL shipments, including SOP development and implementation, as well as all claims management. Additionally, will direct the activities of a small but growing team. Challenge is to leverage shipments through exemplary service and procurement of competitive pricing, improving the company’s portfolio of service offerings to their customers.

Background Required:
  • Excellent knowledge of LTL / FTL freight operations within a 3PL environment (3+ years)
  • Staff management & training
  • Rate and service negotiation
  • Established cost and service-related processes
  • Carrier qualification and “set up”
  • Knowledgeable of freight consolidation, cartage, line-haul and pool distribution strategies
  • Develop & manage KPI’s (compliance, performance, service, audit)
  • Computer literate: Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, & Outlook
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or related field
  • Residence: greater Manalapan, NJ
