Dock & Door Service Technician

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Compensation: $66,000 - $72,660/year + Company Vehicle + Benefits

About the Company:

Our client is a supplier of material handling equipment. They have been in the industry for over 60 years and pride themselves on being the largest supplier of material handling solutions in Canada.

They are expanding at a rapid pace and are seeking to add a Dock & Door Service Technician to their team.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair dock products at customer’s facility including: doors, seals, bumpers and restraints
• Ensure repairs are completed according to safety standards
• Check the overall condition and operational integrity of equipment
• Replace worn or defective parts
• Explain problems, solutions, consequences and cost of repairs to customers
• Complete documents and forms relative to services performed
• Prepare work orders and obtain customer’s signature
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Must possesses prior experience working in the overhead door industry
• Prior experience installing overhead doors in commercial or industrial sector is considered to be a strong asset
• Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean abstract
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Customer service oriented
• Effective analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to be flexible and work in a fast paced and changing environment
