POSITION: District Partnerships (VP/Director or Specialist – title depends upon experience)

LOCATION: Position can be located anywhere in the state of California. The majority of the business and new business opportunities are in Southern California all the way up to Sacramento; so flexible about location;

COMPENSATION: Base should be between $80 -160K; depending upon the level of the candidate. Their goal will be to bring in new revenue of $2m+ in the first year.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and expand strategic relationships with ELOP Directors, district administrators, and other key decision-makers throughout California school districts.
  • Identify, cultivate, and close new district partnerships that generate long-term recurring revenue.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting and relationship development through proposal creation, contract negotiation, and successful close.
  • Maintain a disciplined sales funnel and pipeline, tracking outreach activity, meetings, proposals, and contract opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with executive leadership to develop territory strategy, prioritize opportunities, and maximize market penetration.
  • Represent the company at district meetings, conferences, networking events, and industry functions.
  • Partner with operations and implementation teams to ensure successful onboarding and long-term customer satisfaction.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to school districts by understanding funding opportunities, district priorities, and enrichment program needs.
  • As the business continues to grow, help build and mentor future customer success and district partnership team members.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven success selling products or services directly to California school districts.
  • Existing relationships with ELOP Directors and district decision-makers throughout California.
  • Demonstrated success generating new business through relationship-based sales rather than relying exclusively on RFP processes.
  • Experience managing complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong consultative selling, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivation, discipline, and the ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building capabilities.
  • Willingness and ability to travel throughout California as needed.
  • Experience within after-school programming, enrichment services, educational services, workforce development, youth programming, EdTech, or related education markets is strongly preferred.
