POSITION SUMMARY:

This position will be responsible for the safe daily operations, processes, efficiencies, resource planning, and continuous improvement of the warehouse and shipping/receiving. A considerable focus will be on efficient methods to support a high level of services and aggressive company growth. Managing priorities, internal and external questions, and providing data to help the business is critical. A strong understanding of supply chain management concepts, inventory, and logistics is necessary. Experience in the Manufacturing Industry and safety leadership preferred.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Warehouse Management: Provide priority guidance and integrate process improvement to the warehouse team to achieve the highest service level for our customers. Areas under supervision: Warehouse, Shipping, and Receiving. This involves liaising with internal departments as well as external providers. Ensure that objectives and delivery deadlines are met. Manage budgets for the distribution team. Continuous improvement focuses on accuracy, efficiency, and balance of workload.

Employee Management: Provide supervision, feedback, coaching, technical and safety training, and development opportunities to warehouse team. Ensure company policies are communicated and enforced. Annual appraisals are completed for each associate.

Shipping and Receiving: Ensure processes are in place, training provided, and develop a culture of excellence, striving for 0 shipping errors and 100% accurate inventory. Develop, display, and provide performance metrics for warehouse operations to track progress toward Company operational goals. Oversee receiving inspection requirements and execution.

Warehouse: Cycle counts, inventory accuracy, ERP system maintenance to ensure 99% count accuracy. Work instructions include Receiving, distribution, shipping, Identification, protection, preservation, and packaging.

5.

Distribution: Plan and balance workload to ensure daily activities are completed and strategic projects are completed as scheduled. Includes metrics of performance for the three departments related to execution, inventory accuracy, efficiency, and quality.

Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

· Education:

BS degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or Business Administration preferred. 10+ years in distribution responsibilities and/or certifications can offset degree requirements.

· Work-Related Experience:

Warehouse management, logistics, employee supervision, safety culture, metric reporting

CPDW (Certified Professional in Distribution and Warehousing) – American Purchasing Society

Self-Starter. Ability to balance multiple assignments while meeting deadlines to support the business.

Computer Proficiency: All Office 365 elements, ERP
