Keys to Job: Senior Manager level candidates will have a minimum of 5-12+ years of well-rounded accounting and/or finance experience preferably in the Construction, Real Estate, Medical, Manufacturing, or Distribution industries with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a management/supervisory role. The ideal Director candidate will have a minimum of 10-12 or more years of well-rounded accounting and/or finance experience preferably in the Construction, Real Estate, Medical, Manufacturing, or Distribution industries with a minimum of 7 years’ experience in a management/supervisory role. The corporate accounting team works closely with clients to provide flexible and scalable accounting support and finance and business consulting to launch businesses to the next phase of growth. The firm works with a large number of clients (30-60) that range from small ($1M or less) to $5M.

Job Description -

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5-12 years of comprehensive financial and advisory experience, including at least 5 or more years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related discipline from an accredited institution; professional certification (CPA) not a must but big plus.
  • Demonstrated expertise in serving clients within sectors such as infrastructure development, property management, healthcare, industrial production, or supply chain logistics.
  • Proficiency with financial management platforms such as QuickBooks (Desktop or Online) and Microsoft Excel; familiarity with tools like Sage Intacct, NetSuite, or other enterprise resource planning systems is advantageous.
  • Proven track record in high-level financial oversight roles, such as Controller or CFO functions, within a professional services environment.
  • Experience addressing diverse client challenges across multiple industries, delivering innovative and actionable solutions.
  • Familiarity with payroll operations, tax compliance, and indirect tax reporting (e.g., sales and use tax) is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites as required.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a client-centric, consultative approach.
  • Strong leadership capabilities, including staff mentoring, career development, and conflict resolution.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and adept at managing multiple priorities autonomously.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Oversee client engagements, managing periodic financial close processes (weekly, monthly, and annual), preparing management reports, and reconciling accounts.
  • Maintain and update asset registers and depreciation schedules for client portfolios.
  • Design, deploy, or transition clients to optimized financial systems and processes.
  • Compute and report indirect taxes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Develop cash flow projections and financial forecasts to guide client decision-making.
  • Review client payroll processes, benefits administration, and compliance documentation (e.g., 1099 filings).
  • Provide strategic and tactical financial guidance to support client growth objectives.
  • Serve as an interim or fractional financial executive (e.g., Controller or CFO) for clients as needed.
  • Proactively resolve client challenges, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
  • Lead and mentor a diverse team of professionals across multiple projects, fostering career growth and addressing personnel matters with discretion.
