Our client, the Forest Campus, is a 330+ bed acute care facility located near Richmond, VA. They are one of the largest healthcare systems in the U.S, where healthcare employment opportunities are almost endless! As part of their full range of healthcare services, they specialize in heart and stroke care, women's health—including high-risk pregnancies, maternity and neonatal intensive care—orthopedics and groundbreaking diagnostic imaging. They're also a national trendsetter in kidney transplants and lead the state in minimally invasive procedures, having performed more da Vinci® robotic-assisted surgeries than any other facility in Virginia.
SUMMARY
The Trauma Program Director (TPD), under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer, is responsible for managing the trauma program with the Trauma Medical Director (TMD). The TPD, in collaboration with the TMD, is responsible for assuring all Trauma Center verification standards are met as required by the Virginia Department of Health and the Office of Emergency Services.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
- Nursing Degree (RN) from an accredited program required.
- BSN and/or Bachelor Degree in related field preferred.
- Emergency (CEN) or Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) preferred.
- BLS, ACLS, PALS certified.
EXPERIENCE:
- Instructor in TNCC, ATCN or CATN preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years clinical experience in a trauma center preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years nursing experience in an ED, ICU or Critical Care area.
- Current management and leadership experience preferred.
